What Is Art Studio?

Art Studio students explore the world of creativity while working in the areas of drawing, design, painting, sculpture, digital art, and color theory focusing in three areas of emphasis: studio work, art exhibition, and public artwork. The Art Studio experience allows students to go on field trips, work with art mentors, go on art-related job shadows and help their community and school through art service learning projects. Technology integration includes the development of an e-portfolio and graphic design.

Art Studio Website

This website was designed to showcase the work of the students of Art Studio. Most of today's professional artists use online portfolios to promote themselves and sell their work. This website provides Art Studio students with a start at this kind of exposure. Here are the major components of the Art Studio website:

There are 170 student portfolios on this site. Studio 1 & Studio 2 student’s portfolios are continually updated. Those leaving the program and PV grads are also represented on the Alumni page. SFArt Studio students visit museums and artist's studios not only in Chico but in Sacramento and San Francisco too. Students also participate in many local arts related events and volunteer at community events. Check out the pictures of this years Pastels in the Quad by Clicking Here.
